On Tuesday, August 10, to mark the night of San Lorenzo, Ocean Space will be opening to the public from as a one-off from 7 pm to 11 pm as part of the “Appuntamento con la Notte di San Lorenzo” event, organized by the Municipality of Venice-Murano-Burano.

Along with a concert under the stars in Campo San Lorenzo, a tasting of wines and local products, and a presentation about shooting stars in the cloister, free guided tours of the current exhibitions and the history of the Church of San Lorenzo will be conducted inside Ocean Space by our team of cultural mediators.

Admission and free guided tour at scheduled times from 7 to 11 pm.

Meeting point: entrance to the Church of San Lorenzo.

PROGRAM

  • 7:00-11:00 pm, Ocean Space, Church of San Lorenzo

Special late opening of the exhibitions “Territorial Agency: Oceans in Transformation” and “The Soul Expanding Ocean #1: Taloi Havini”.

Free guided tours of the current exhibitions and the history of the Church of San Lorenzo will be conducted inside Ocean Space by our team of cultural mediators. Meeting point: entrance to the Church of San Lorenzo. Admission and free guided tour at scheduled times: 7:00, 7:30, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30 pm.

  • 7:00-11:00 pm, San Lorenzo Cloister

Tasting of wines and local products curated by Centro Commerciale Quartierale San Francesco della Vigna.

  • 8:00-8:45 pm, Campo San Lorenzo

Concert under the stars with the brothers Di Giorgio.

  • 9:00-10:00 pm, San Lorenzo Cloister

Presentation “San Lorenzo tears- about shooting stars". Curated by Associazione Astrofili Veneziani / Planetario of Venice. The presentation will be held in Italian.

INFORMATION

Participation is free without reservation.

In line with the rules to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the capacity of Ocean Space has been reduced to guarantee a safe experience.
Guided tour groups will be limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

Masks must be worn inside Ocean Space (properly covering both nose and mouth) and hands must be sanitized with the provided sanitizer upon entrance. A temperature check will be carried out at the entrance.
