The Pedagogy of Environmental Humanities aims to raise awareness of the crucial role of education in creating a sustainable model for society as a response to the increasingly complex challenges that the world is facing. It promotes making sustainable changes, both individually and collectively, in order to allow future citizens to experience complexity and, simultaneously, transform them into promoters of tangible actions to help protect the planet. The goal is to encourage and build ecological awareness, starting a process of lifelong learning through a multidisciplinary approach.

- Monica Banzato, Department of Cultural and Comparative Linguistic Studies - Ca’ Foscari University of Venice: “Introduction to the topic”.

- Dalila Forni, Department of Education, Languages, Intercultural Studies, Literature and Psychology FORLILPSI, University of Florence: “Mickey and the environment: some reflections on the use of comics for ecological awareness”.

- Francesco Fabbro, Deptertment of Education, Languages, Intercultural Studies, Literature and Psychology, University of Florence: “Theater and the dialectical method for sustainable civic education”.

- Martina Ercolano, Department of Educational Psychological Sciences and Communication, Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples: "Community, art and formation of the Self. For sustainable museum education”.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The meeting will be held exclusively online via the Zoom platform. The link to connect to the training session will be sent to participants on Wednesday October 14.

The meeting is reserved for teaching staff of all levels, educators and cultural mediators. Participation is free with compulsory registration by filling out the following online form.
