Messy Studio: The Gulf Stream

Launch of the second trajectory

On Ocean Archive and on Ocean Space and TBA21–Academy Facebook pages

We have entered an epoch of shocked space and torn time. How do we write a history of fragments? How do we record a history of forgetting? How do we animate broken ecologies?

Launch of the second trajectory "The Gulf Stream"

6–6.30 pm CET
Introduction of the second trajectory by John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rӧnnskog.

6.30–7.30 pm CET
Presentation by Anne McClintock: Monster: A Fugue in Fire and Ice. In discussion with Markus Reymann, Daniela Zyman, Territorial Agency and the participants of the Fellowship program.

The event will be live-streamed on Ocean-Archive.org and Ocean Space and TBA21–Academy Facebook pages.

Anne McClintock is the A. Barton Hepburn Professor in the Program Gender and Sexuality Studies at Princeton University. In her new essay “Monster: A Fugue in Fire and Ice” McClintock follows the multiple spaces of monstrosity from the depths and surface of the Gulf of Mexico to the Northern Iceworlds of Greenland.
