The pollution of the sea causes significant damage to the marine species that inhabit it.
In this workshop, children will understand the beauty of ocean creatures and the effect that humans have had on them. Inspired by the cards of the ethnologist Vladimir Propp, children will learn to identify the physical and behavioral characteristics of animals to understand the deformation effects caused by pollution. They will capture their new ‘animals’ by painting on mirroring material that simulates floating in water, similar to materials used in Joan Jonas’s Moving Off the Land II, and create an installation together.
