Information

This event was originally scheduled for October 4, 2023. The terms of participation and the program remain the same

Poetry writing has always had the power to activate the imagination, inviting us to frequent and explore worlds that are not only human.

During this Poetry Club meeting, with curator Barbra Casavecchia and TBA21 co-director Markus Reymann, we will read verses and excerpts from the works of Etel Adnan and Chandra Livia Candiani, a short story by Hawaiian writer Karin Amimoto Ingersoll from the collection Fishing Fly (2023, ed. María Montero Sierra, TBA21–Academy), and some letters exchanged by Ella Finer and Vibeke Mascini, about listening to frequencies beyond the human perceptual threshold (Silent Whale Letters, 2023, ed. Kate Briggs, Sternberg Press and TBA21).

Waves of Words

Part of the cycle “Waves of Words”, encompassing conversations with artists, researchers, and writers interweaving poetry, science, and situated ecology in collaboration with local institutions and national initiatives. Spoken words will become waves to drift with and carry our thoughts, while we consider climate and cultural change with diverse voices from the Mediterranean shores.
