In addition to its program of events, Ocean Space will host HYPER ANNOTATIONS – Making sense of the 58th Venice Biennale, the online-broadcasting channel of the innovative educational platform The New Centre for Research & Practice, NYC, US. Three live sessions featuring conversations on arts, science, ecologies and politics with artists, curators, thinkers and philosophers exhibiting at or attending the Biennale Arte 2019. The program will take place on May 8, 9, and 10, between 11:00 and 13:30, and will be broadcast on the New Centre’s social media channels.

The New Centre for Research & Practice invites all artists, curators and art professionals who would like to be included in the program to contact Patrick Schabus for scheduling patrick.schabus@thenewcentre.org.

THE NEW CENTRE FOR RESEARCH & PRACTICE​
The New Centre for Research & Practice​ is an international non-profit art institute for higher education that fosters a global network of artists, curators and thinkers. Co-founded by​ Mohammad Salemy, ​the New Centre’s programming include collaborations like ​The Eighth Climate (What does art do?)​ ​Gwangju Biennale​ (2016); ​Superconversations, a series of responses to e-flux’s participation in the Venice Biennale (2015), as well as the resulting​ conference, Machines that Matter, at ​e-flux ​(2015); and regular organization and sponsoring of events at ​Spike Art Quarterly, Berlin, such as Interlocutories (2019)​ and ANON: The AltWoke Manifesto & Other Negativities (2018).
