During the presentation, Valeria Bottalico, responsible for educational activities at Ocean Space, will introduce the next year of “Ocean School”, the permanent educational program which consists of a series of training events for teachers and thematic courses for students.

PROGRAM

  • 3:00pm: Introduction by Valeria Bottalico
  • 3:15pm: Talk "Il mare come atelier” (The sea as a workshop) by Alessandra Falconi, atelier metodo Bruno Munari®

The act of creating together is a gentle and powerful tool for feeling part of something. It is through creative work, in fact, that one learns not only to 'do' but also to 'be' and 'become'. "The sea as a workshop" is an educational meeting that teaches us to look at the sea with different eyes: the lens of contemporary art and design, like a filter, will help us to see, to know and to protect. Science and art are brought into dialogue to create new learning contexts, new tools and new methodologies through a proactive discourse on the element in continuous flow and becoming par excellence, the Ocean.

  • 4.30pm: guided tour of the exhibitions “The Soul Expanding Ocean #3: Dineo Seshee Bopape” and “The Soul Expanding Ocean #4: Diana Policarpo. Ciguatera”.
