The meeting, the third of a series of training workshops, is addressed at teachers of all levels.

Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner Paul Crutzen popularised the term 'Anthropocene', which defines the current geological era where human activity is the dominant influence on the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the earth's environment.

The meeting is led by Orsola Braides, head of the Digital Library and Special Materials Sector of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, who after an initial visit to the Monumental Rooms, where some relics are kept, will show some cartographic representations of the Earth, from globes to globes, from portolans to nautical charts.

The event is organised by Ocean Space in collaboration with the Digital Library and Special Materials Sector of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana.
